How did law school change you for the better?
Law school taught me an increased sense of discipline and perseverance. I had to manage my schoolwork, externships, law clerk positions, Law Review, and volunteer work all at the same time which, unsurprisingly, could be stressful. However, I learned during this time that hard work and persistence would result in reaching any goal I set for myself.

How did you decide you wanted to focus on your area of practice?
During my 2L year of law school, I was still deciding which areas of law I wanted to practice in. I decided to complete my externship at the Cuyahoga County Probate Court since probate was an area I was unfamiliar with and wanted to explore. During my externship, I was able to learn everything probate entailed and discovered that it was an interesting area of the law that I really enjoyed. Following my experience with the Probate Court, I decided this was the area of law I wanted to focus on.

Do you have any words of wisdom for law students generally as they navigate their career search?
I would encourage law students to be open to every opportunity presented to them and to explore many different areas of law. Law school is the time to explore what path you want (and don’t want) your career to take.

What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is getting successful results for our clients. It is very rewarding to obtain a “win” for a client after devoting a lot of time and hard work to their case and knowing how important the end result is for that particular client.

What do you think your profession would be if you weren’t a lawyer?
I think I would be a veterinarian if I wasn’t a lawyer. I love all animals and always enjoy my time volunteering at a local animal shelter.

What is on your bucket list?
High on my bucket list would be traveling all throughout Europe. There are so many beautiful countries with extensive history that I want to explore.
